UPA 2: The innings continue!!

Congrats to the UPA coalition to have successfully completed one yr of their second tenure of governance in Centre. Dr. manmohan singh wud be a very happy man and so wud b the other party members and UPA supporters. Who the hell cares for the public anyways!!! Though i will cover the public woes some other time.

What good happened to UPA? the following would account to:

a)Allocation of 3G spectrum brought in huge sum of money. whooping 7400 crores.
b)Right to Education gets a shoot.
c)Women's Reservation bill is passed in Rajya Sabha which reserves 33pc seats in for women.

And many more...

However, there were setbacks to UPA too.

a)Naxal issues: UPA blantly fails to deal with this issue. It has perhaps become one of the major issues of the government.
b)Corruption: With the news of Telecom Minister A. Raja's involvement in illegally allocation the 2G spectrum, UPA suffered a great setback to its image. A tainted minister in the Cabinet is what would be the worst thing any government would expect to have.
c)price rise: Issue hitting hard on the janta. Price rise upto 17pc. and they siad it was a economic slowdown!!!
d)International relations: A failed Sharm al Sheikh meeting reflected poorly on the UPA's efficiency to maintain cordial relations with the Pakistan. While on the other hand, China has been stiff over its stances regarding Sikkim.

And many more...

All said and done, UPA faired many more negetives than giving a positive boost to the nation's infrastrucural and political growth(thts y i prefered to write 'And many more... ' twice). However, in my opinion, the leadership under which UPA functions gives me no reason to loose trust!!

Though, Right now what comes to mind is the meek face of PM Dr. Manmohan Singh. Has he always been like this? So unsure and ultra-dimplomatic? The press conference which was actually organised to make the nation aware of what the government holds for it in the future, ended as a mere speech of commitments which wr made long before during the election bt never saw the light. All i could infer was somehow somewhere Dr. Singh wr bounded to supply information to the media. His answers were short(even shorter than my TWEETS!!!!!), sometimes inappropriate and many times not upto the expectations. The media wanted answers, but all they got were assurances that evn Dr. Singh wasnt perhaps sure will materialize.



And yes rest is explained by this cartoon by shreyas navare(In HT) has pretty much explained the performance of UPA-2.. My first reaction to this cartoon was..obviously bursting into laughter and ramming the sofa, seconds later when i realized i have spilled my morning tea and my mom was frowning at me...

Anyways, mom can be dealt with a sorry and a smile!! Bt seems UPA is having hard time dealing with the nation!!! With P. Chidambram caught in traps by maoist issue is giving them a hard time, on the other, inflation has razed them through(thts Pranab Mukherjee). Mamta's rail has incurred huge losses( Laloo ki mehanat paani me) and no sign of peace at international borders.. But whats most important thing to note is, UPA still stands strong( Cake katiye Manmohan ji and sonia ji). They sense no threat to their government.. Janta k paas aur koi option bhi to nahi he shayad!!.

Wats taking them so much time?

Lemonade on one hand, and Remote on another, i was just surfing thru the channels when i came across this this debate on NDTV india..it was about Afzal Guru..the very person who was responsible for 13 dec 2000 attck on parliament which was termed as one of the most henious crime ever commited by the terrorist. It was termed as the "war on state". The debate was targeted at y is UPA government not executing the death penalty that was given to afzal by SC in 2005? A few eminent "leaders" of this country were a part of this debate. I heard the views of each of them. And the only inference i could draw was that all this moolah was a political hype. The indian judiciary system is immature and a mere puppet at the hands of Government and politicians( the leaders whom we select during the election).

The delhi CM Sheila Dixit gives an excuse of implications of law and order issues and that anti social elements which wud create problms in certain section of the society. Well law and order was disrupted a lot on 13 dec 2000 too.. when 7 policemen lost their lives defending the Indian "leaders" lives. Human rights say that giving death sentence is unethical and illogical.. Where did their logic and ethics go when people like Afzal and kasab were plotting and executing the plans to kills innocent people?

Law and order maintaince is ofcourse your duty. and it should be maintained. but without ascertaining the situation, how can they say anything tht holds no base? its like u r abusing that section of the society to be anti-indian and calling them the supporter of terrorism!! what a shame(sic!)

On the other hand ram jeth malani sir had his differnt but a polite view. He was against the very concept of death sentence. He was of the view that such criminals should rot in indian jails and they shud see the hell of it(yeah..these were his very words)!! Well sir, i think u have read the newspaper. Afzal and kasab both were being given royal treatment. They were VIPs of the jails they were in!! And certainly if no action is taken, we wud soon see a retelecast of 1999 hijack where these terrorists too would be let off!! and yet again the cycle will continue.. armed forces capture the "threat to state" and state runners let them off!!

is the tht indian democracy for us??

Just one Religion and just one God !!!

Well, i don't know how many of you would agree with me.. but i really hate being a follower of any particular religion. This whole concept of dividing people on the basis of religion is unacceptable. People are soften seen n sometime judged by wat God they prey to n the very fact that they are human is fogotten. I mean how does a Muslim guy different from a Hindu, when both of them have same physical entities as normal human being is supposed to have?

But yet, they are different. I try but fail to understand, how does it matter if another guy belongs to a minority religion or majority 1? Cant there be just 1 god and 1 religion?

My mom says, god has distributed himself just to suit to the needs of human... It has given them options to follow one of the many forms He has!!

Yeah! thats logical, but what reason would u give to the riots, bomb blasts, terrorism, vandalism, favourism that human conducts at the name of religion? Innocents are killed, properties destroyed, loss suffered, mental agony, isnt god responsible for that? If he hadnt at one place divided himself in so many forms, we would have not seen this day ever!!! World would have been a better place to live in!

And if god really is there, y doesnt he do ne thing to stop the people who are responsible for all this? The belief of His very presence suffice and tumbles everytime i listen to ne of the mass killings conducted by some religiuous groups to take revenge!! thts real sad then.. An atheist's life is much more better.. atleast he doesnt not blame himself to be a killer!!!

though the peace of this nation and world as a whole wont be restored with just one person turning against this divide.

Calling me an agnostic would be much appropriate. I do believe God's there. but am in a serious confusion Which one to follow?? Coz then i dont want to be killed or being accused to be a killer.. Religion scares me!!!

P.S.: I dont know the motive of this post..had to scribble something, but it did help me lighten up my heart up!! Didnt know writing something off makes u feel so good!!
